This year St. Patty’s Day brought out the Irish, the Irish-wanna-bes and even the warm weather! Yesterday the DooGooders Top Dog Mayhem, along with almost a dozen pugs from the Pug Owners Society of the Sioux Empire (POSSE) took part in the 33rd St. Patrick’s Day parade in downtown Sioux Falls sponsored by the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce to benefit Special Olympics and other great charities in the area.

The pugs even got a mention in today’s Argus Leader. Check out  more pictures from the event to see the lepre-pugs and join the POSSE Facebook group to keep up-to-date on all the four-legged happenings!

DooCrew Top Dog Mayhem meets USD mascot

The DooCrew joined the Pug Owners Society of the Sioux Empire (POSSE) for a fun time Saturday at Teapot Days. We walked in the parade and say lots of DooCrew friends while the pugs got in some good exercise!

We posed a riddle to see if you could figure out what magazine this month includes some DooGooders family. The answer – the DooCrew’s Top Dogs Maggie and Mayhem got some ink in fetch! (and thanks to our pal Sarah McQuade for writing the story!). Also, our friends with the Pug Owners Society of the Sioux Empire got featured as part of the breed of the month story all about pugs. Be sure and fetch a copy today!

Pick up your copy of fetch! at area Hy-Vees and pet businesses!

The DooCrew’s Top Dogs and one of our favorite groups made a media appearance in a four-paw approved publication. Can you guess what it is?

DooGooders and the Pug Owners Society of the Sioux Empire (POSSE) participated in the Brandon Loyalty Days Parade yesterday. Congress started Loyalty Day in 1958 to be held May 1 of each year to remember our patriotism. An estimated 10,000 people turned out for Loyalty Day activities in Brandon (it’s the third largest Loyalty Day celebration in the country!). When the parade passed the VFW, we couldn’t help but be reminded of the sacrifices our military men and women make and what a great place we live in!

We can’t wait for the green of spring to show up, but until then, we’re getting our emerald excitement from St. Patrick’s Day celebrations!

Saturday DooGooders along with a dozen pugs from the Pug Owners Society of the Sioux Empire (POSSE) took part in the 32nd St. Patrick’s Day parade in downtown Sioux Falls sponsored by the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce to benefit Special Olympics.

Some of our pug friends even made it on KSFY-TV! We braved the cold in the DooCruiser and dogs decked out in green got to wave to the Irish and Irish-for-a-day. Check out our pictures from the event to see the lepre-pugs in action. E-mail pug@doogooders.com to receive the POSSE newsletter or join its Facebook group. Now let’s get rid of that white stuff!
