Check out for a complete list of silent auction items. We will also be selling Boxer Walk and NPBR t-shirts with our logo on them. If you would like to pre-order a shirt just indicate that on the registration form. There will be some shirts available for sale at the Boxer Walk, too. The walk is open to all dogs, so tell your friends! For more information, contact Marvin Bahr at or (605) 690-8976.

Northern Plains Boxer Rescue is a nonprofit, all-volunteer effort where every boxer counts. We are an organization that strives to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home all boxers in need. Northern Plains Boxer Rescue makes every effort to educate the public about the boxer breed and responsible pet ownership. We serve a five state region: South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, North Dakota, and Minnesota. Currently we have more than 50 boxers in rescue who need a good, loving home. We operate solely out of foster homes so we know every boxer in our rescue and their lovable personalities. Without our foster homes and other volunteers, we could not operate. We are always looking for new volunteers and foster homes!

Favorite toy: Sock monkey, plush beach ball, hide-and-seek squirrels and tree

Cozmo with his buddy, Dale

Thing Cozmo loves the most: Sniffing out suspicious characters in the neighborhood; I fancy myself the president of the
neighborhood watch.

Thing Cozmo dislikes the most: That squeaky thing that sneaks into all of my toys; I do my best to shake, tear and dismantle it
every time I hear one.

How Cozmo joined your family: I was adopted in Cochran, GA. I was the runt of the litter but my Dad said that small
guys could grow up to be tough. Boy was he right!

If Cozmo had a million dollars, he would: Travel around the world for a year, and then spend time helping children in third world countries
and developing clean water technology for needy villages

If Cozmo could travel anywhere, he would go to: Bora Bora, Seychelles. I prefer exclusive tropical destinations frequented by the stars.

Cozmo’s favorite way to spend the dog days of summer: Swimming in the creek at the local dog park, enjoying frozen yogurt with my Dad, Road tripping
up the Eastern seaboard

Favorite TV show: Golden Girls, Almost all reality TV, Animal Planet K-9 Cops

Favorite Musical Artists: Bob Marley, Michael Buble, Adele, Holst
Favorite Authors: Stieg Larsson, Alice Walker, Siddhartha Gautama

Favorite quote: “That which we manifest is before us; we are the creators of our own destiny. Be it through
intention or ignorance, our successes and our failures have been brought on by none other than
ourselves” — Garth Stein (The Art of Racing in the Rain)

Bella is a two-year-old Morkie from Sioux Falls. This profile pup loves doggie ice cream and her toys.

Several months ago we piled up the numbers to see what families thought of DooGooders.  We wanted to share some of those with you and thank you for all your feedback that helps us make DooGooders crappier!

When asked why people picked DooGooders to pick up, we got a whiff of wisdom that almost 72% of folks like the DooCrew’s mission to give back to local charities and our cost. When asked to rate our spring clean service, we received 5 out of 5 stars for ease of signing up, 4.9 stars for friendliness of the DooCrew (we think we’re a pretty nice bunch!) and 4.9 for timeliness.

Thanks to everyone who responded and keep giving us your thoughts on what we can doo to doo better! And be watching for a end of the year survey so we can make 2012 even more pawesome!
